“中津友谊奖学金”获奖代表发言稿

Your Excellency Ambassador, Madam Ambassador, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe, ladies and gentlemen present, good morning!

尊敬的大使、大使夫人及中国驻津巴布韦大使馆的工作人员以及在座的各位女士们、先生们，大家好！

My name is Kimberly Mukamba. I am very grateful to the Embassy for providing me with this scholarship. I am also honored to have the opportunity to stand here and share my interesting experience of learning Chinese with you.

我叫Kimberly Mukamba。非常感谢大使馆给我提供的这份奖学金。也很荣幸能有机会站在这里与大家分享我学习汉语的有趣经历。

Last year, a friend suggested I learn Chinese. At the time, I didn't take it very seriously, but I never expected that my major would lead me to Reanda Chartered Accountants. During my internship there, they offered Chinese courses to their employees, which I participated in, and from the very first lesson, I completely fell in love with the language!

去年有朋友建议我学习中文，当时我并没有很认真地对待这个事儿，但我万万没想到，我的专业将我引向了Reanda 会计事务所，在那里实习期间，他们为员工提供了中文课程，从第一节课开始我就完全爱上了这门语言！

The interest that was ignited in my first Chinese lesson at Reanda quickly turned into a real passion. To further my studies, I joined the Confucius Institute, where I met a wonderful Chinese teacher, Teacher Ruby. She was very strict with us in our studies, and learning with her, my listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills improved remarkably quickly.

我在Reanda 的第一节汉语课燃起的兴趣很快就变成了真正的热情。为了进一步学习，我加入了孔子学院，在那里我遇到了一位了不起的中文老师----Ruby老师。在学习上，她对我们要求非常严格，跟她一起学习，我的听说读写各种语言技能提高得特别快。

While learning about Chinese culture, she also vividly demonstrated Chinese culture to us. Our most unforgettable lesson was making and tasting Chinese food together! What I remember most vividly is making steamed buns together. Our teacher brought flour, beef filling, and pork filling from home, and demonstrated step-by-step how to transform flour into buns. She even taught us how to make them ourselves, and looking at the buns in my hands, I felt truly amazed! This experience deepened my fascination with the language and the culture behind it!

在学习语言知识的同时，她还生动地向我们展示了中国的文化。我们最难忘的课程就是一起制作、品尝中国美食！记忆最深的就是我们很多人一起包包子，老师从家里带了面、牛肉馅儿、猪肉馅儿，一步一步给我们展示了如何从面粉变成包子的全过程，还手把手地教我们自己做，看着自己手里的包子，我真的觉得特别神奇！我对这门语言和其背后的文化有了更深的向往！

At the same time, I was also deeply impressed by China's incredible technological progress. Even though I've only seen China's stunning scenery and technological advancements in videos, I still hope to experience it firsthand someday. This has now become a dream of mine, and I'm working hard towards it. I plan to apply for a scholarship next year, hoping to take another step closer to my dream!

同时，令我印象很深的还有中国令人难以置信的科技进步。即便目前只是在视频中看到中国令人惊叹的风景及科技的发展，我还是希望有一天能亲自去体验它。现在这已经成为我的一个梦想，我也在为这个梦想一直努力着。我打算明年申请奖学金，这样能离自己的梦想更进一步！

The China-Zimbabwe Friendship Scholarship is more than just financial support for me; it's a bridge connecting our cultures, dreams, and future. Receiving this scholarship today is not only a great honor but also a tremendous encouragement, motivating me to continue moving forward.

“中津友谊奖学金”对我来说不仅仅是经济上的支持，更是一座连接我们文化、梦想和未来的桥梁。今天获得这份奖学金，对我来说不仅是莫大的荣幸，更是莫大的鼓励，将激励我继续前行。

Thank you for your trust in me. I will continue to study Chinese diligently and become a bridge connecting Chinese and Zimbabwean cultures.

感谢你们对我的信任。我会继续努力学习中文，成为连接中国和津巴布韦文化的一座桥梁。

Finally, I want to say to all students learning Chinese: I hope you will bravely take the first step, just like I did. Learning Chinese has opened doors I never imagined, enriching my career and broadening my personal horizons. It's not just a language, but a door to knowledge and a bright future.
