On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the vibrant atmosphere at Wise Owl Primary School was filled with excitement and joy as the Grade Three Cultural Festival unfolded in full color and energy. The event brought together students, teachers, parents, and special guests to celebrate the beauty of diversity through culture, language, and creativity. The Wise Owl Cultural Festival event was dedicated to celebrating the richness and diversity of world cultures. The theme of the event was "Celebrating Our World Through Culture," emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange, understanding, and appreciation.
2025年7月10日（星期四），Wise Owl 小学三年级文化节在一片欢声笑语和热烈氛围中拉开帷幕。整个校园洋溢着活力与喜悦，这场充满色彩与激情的活动，汇聚了学生、教师、家长以及特邀嘉宾，共同庆祝文化、语言与创造力所带来的多样之美。本次文化节的主题是“庆祝多元文化，共享同一个世界”，旨在弘扬文化交流、增进理解与尊重，展现世界文化的丰富与多元。
Guests were delighted to see the school courtyard transformed into a lively hub of diverse cultures, as each class showcased a unique country through song, dance, food, and traditional costumes. While many were thrilled to learn about the traditions from various countries, what truly amazed the crowd was the students’ confident and fluent presentations in Chinese. From introducing themselves to performing cultural songs and dialogues in Mandarin, the learners proudly displayed their language skills, leaving the audience in awe.
活动当天，校园庭院焕然一新，化身为一个生动多彩的文化展示广场。每个班级通过歌曲、舞蹈、美食与服饰等形式，呈现不同国家的独特文化。大家在欣赏各国传统风情的同时，更被学生们自信而流利的中文表演所惊艳。从自我介绍到用中文表演歌曲与情景对话，孩子们大方自信地展示了自己的语言才能，赢得了在场嘉宾的一致赞叹。
The highlight of the day was the presence of representatives from the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe (CIUZ). Their presence was a great honor, and their support has played a vital role in the school’s Chinese language program. Speaking at the event, Ms. Munyaradzi Shoko, the CIUZ representative, praised the students’ efforts and encouraged them to continue learning and exploring Chinese culture.
当天活动的高潮之一，便是津巴布韦大学孔子学院（CIUZ）的代表亲临现场，这既是对学校莫大的鼓舞，也是对学校汉语课程持续发展的有力支持。CIUZ的代表 Munyaradzi Shoko 女士在致辞中高度评价了学生们的努力，并鼓励他们继续学习中文，深入了解中华文化。
In a special message, the Honourable Minister of Primary and Secondary Education also commended Wise Owl Primary School for taking the Chinese language to a higher level. The Minister acknowledged the school’s efforts in promoting multilingualism and cultural exchange at an early stage of learning, which aligns well with the national goals of education and global citizenship.
教育部小学与中学教育部长也专门发来贺词，对 Wise Owl 小学在中文教学方面所取得的成就给予充分肯定。他指出，学校积极推动多语言教育与文化交流，使学生从小拥有国际视野，这与国家教育目标及培养全球公民的理念高度契合。
The school head, Mr Pamire, and staff expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, especially the CIUZ representatives, for their continued partnership and support. The event ended with a sense of pride and motivation, as the students stood as young ambassadors of unity, learning, and cultural appreciation. Wise Owl Primary School continues to shine as a beacon of excellence in promoting both academic and cultural education, proving that even young learners can be global citizens of the future.
