Hearts Christian College's Chinese Language department, led by the dedicated Laoshi Nyasha, recently embarked on an exciting initiative that brought the world of Chinese culture closer to its young learners. The Grade 1 and 2 students were treated to a unique and engaging experience - a practical lesson on using chopsticks!

近日，Hearts Christian College的中文部在敬业的Nyasha老师带领下，开展了一项精彩纷呈的活动，让孩子们更加深入地感受到了中国文化的魅力。学校一年级和二年级的学生迎来了一堂别开生面的实践课程——筷子体验课！

The innovative project, aptly titled "Chinese Chopsticks Fun," aimed to immerse students in the art of using chopsticks while enjoying a delicious meal of spaghetti and meat. To make this initiative possible, the school engaged parents, who generously contributed $1 per learner to cover the costs of materials.

这次别具匠心的活动主题叫“趣味筷子”，让学生在享用美味的意面和肉类餐食的同时，沉浸式地学习使用筷子的技巧。为了顺利开展这次活动，学校邀请了家长们参与，每位学生由家长赞助1美元，用于购买相关材料。

This event, which took place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, was a resounding success. The school's kitchen staff and class teachers worked tirelessly to prepare the meal, while Laoshi Nyasha guided the students through the intricacies of chopstick etiquette. The highlight of the lesson was the hands-on experience, where students got to practice their newfound skills under the watchful eyes of their teachers.

这场活动于2025年7月9日（星期三）举行，并取得了圆满成功。学校食堂工作人员与班主任精心准备了餐食，而Nyasha老师则手把手地教导孩子们学习筷子的使用礼仪。课堂的亮点在于实际操作环节，学生们在老师们的悉心指导下，亲自动手练习如何正确使用筷子。

The event was captured on camera, showcasing the joy and excitement on the students' faces as they mastered the art of using chopsticks. The initiative not only taught the students a new skill but also fostered teamwork, fine motor skills, and cultural appreciation.
