The HSK and HSKK December 2024 tests witnessed an avalanche of candidates across all the three CIUZ Testing Centres. During that time the CIUZ administered the Chinese test to about 1500 Zimbabweans showing a growing demand of the language. The test went on very well but as always, during the evaluation, it was realized that the CIUZ Staff were overly overwhelmed due to the high numbers and also the endeavor for best quality assurance standards. It was apparent that there is a need to bolster manpower during the invigilation of HSK, HSKK and YCT tests. It was, therefore, unanimously agreed that there be a training aimed at equipping the Chinese teachers from various schools with invigilation skills so that they can also help, when the need arises like what happened in December 2024.

2024年12月，津巴布韦大学孔子学院（CIUZ）的三个考点迎来了HSK和HSKK考试考生人数的显著增长。在这一年中，CIUZ成功为约1500名津巴布韦考生组织了中文考试，充分反映了当地对中文学习需求的急剧上升。尽管考试过程顺利，但考后评估显示，庞大的考生规模和对高质量标准的严格要求使得CIUZ工作人员面临巨大的工作压力。显然，HSK、HSKK及YCT考试的监考环节急需补充人力资源。为此，各方一致决定开展专项培训，旨在提升各地中文教师的监考技能，以应对未来类似2024年12月考试高峰期的人力需求。

On February 18th, 2025,the Midlands Christian College in Gweru played host as the CIUZ team took time to interact with Chinese teachers and exam coordinators from the Midlands province. Attendees came from Langfield School, Errymapple School, Chaplin High School, ACEBS and the host. It was a lively interaction which aimed at familiarizing them with the Chinese tests, its format, content and rules. The participants also had an opportunity to experience how the test is run, including how to use the recorders from the HSKK.

2025年2月18日，CIUZ团队在位于中部省奎鲁市的Midlands Christian College成功举办了首场培训活动，与来自该省的中文教师及考试负责人进行了深入交流。参与此次培训的学校包括Langfield School、Errymapple School、Chaplin High School、ACEBS以及主办方Midlands Christian College。培训通过生动的互动环节，帮助教师们全面了解中文考试的形式、内容与规则，并模拟实操了HSKK口语考试录音设备的使用流程，确保每位参与者都能熟练掌握相关技能。

With the same modus operand, the CIUZ Team moved to Bulawayo where they were hosted by the Hillside Teachers’ College on February 19th, 2025. Teachers and administrators from Christian Brothers College, Zimbabwe School of Mines and the host had a lively interaction with the trainers. It was quite refreshing to realise the enthusiasm with which the various schools are embracing the teaching and learning of Chinese.

CIUZ团队于2月19日在布拉瓦约的Hillside Teachers’ College成功举办了第二场培训活动。来自Christian Brothers College、Zimbabwe School of Mines以及主办方Hillside Teachers’ College的教师和行政管理人员与培训师展开了热烈互动。各校对中文教学表现出的高度热情令人倍感鼓舞，进一步印证了中文推广在当地的积极发展态势。

The Harare training was hosted at the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe on February 28th, 2025. There was a huge attendance by the teachers and administrators from schools around, and in Harare. Some came as far as Bindura, Mt Dawrin and Macheke. Schools in Harare included the regular attendees such as Mother Touch Senior School, Maranatha Junior School an Masaisai Primary School. There was also an increase on the number of schools with more than five new schools joining the CI family. The attendees welcomed the training initiative as it was a boost to their knowledge with regards to exams administration, management and invigilation. The new teachers also had the opportunity to network with those who have already been teaching Chinese language in various schools. Through the engagements the new teachers also were well equipped to go and start the registrations processes for the May HSK/YCT exams in 2025.

哈拉雷站的培训于2月28日在在津巴布韦大学孔子学院举行，吸引了来自首都及周边地区（如Bindura、Mt Darwin和Macheke等地）的大量教师踊跃参与。哈拉雷本地的中文教学点包括Mother Touch Senior School、Maranatha Junior School和Masaisai Primary School等，还有5所新学校也正式加入了孔子学院的合作网络。参训者对此次培训在考务管理、流程监控及应急处理方面的指导价值给予了高度评价。新晋教师借此机会与资深中文教师建立了联系，并顺利启动了2025年5月HSK/YCT考试的报名筹备工作，为后续考试的顺利开展奠定了坚实基础。

The main take away from these workshops are the improved knowledge and understanding of the tests. There was a demonstration of significant improvement in the teachers and administrators’ grasp of the processes and procedures around the tests. There was evident increased confidence in the invigilators’ ability to administers the test as well as to deal with issues that might stem up from the registration process. More importantly, the three workshops served as a platform for networking among the teachers. This is critical as it allows for sharing of ideas, experiences and knowledge outside the CIUZ organized activities.

这些培训会的主要成果在于显著提升了对中文测试的认知与理解。通过系统培训，教师和管理人员对考试流程及相关程序的掌握有了明显进步，监考人员在考试管理能力以及应对报名过程中潜在问题的信心也得到了显著增强。更为重要的是，这三期培训会为教师们搭建了一个宝贵的交流平台，促进了彼此之间的联系与合作。这一平台的意义尤为深远，因为它不仅限于CIUZ组织的活动，还为教师们提供了在日常教学中分享想法、经验和知识的持续机会，进一步推动了中文教学的协同发展。

The Invigilators training program was a success, with teachers demonstrating improved knowledge, skills, and confidence in invigilating the exam and also supporting students preparing for the HSK/HSKK/YCT exams. We recommend regular training and updates, collaboration and sharing, and additional student support to further enhance the CIUZ HSK/HSKK/YCT preparations.

此次考务培训取得了显著成效，教师们在监考及支持学生备考HSK、HSKK和YCT考试方面的知识储备、实践技能与信心均得到了全面提升。为进一步加强CIUZ的HSK/HSKK/YCT考试备考工作，我们建议定期开展监考培训与知识更新活动，持续推动教师间的合作与经验分享，同时为学生提供更加多元化的备考支持，以全面提升考试组织效率与学生的应试能力。
