This lecture focuses on the themes of language, culture, and development, examining the opportunities and challenges of Chinese language education in Africa, while also exploring how to preserve local identity in the face of globalisation. It highlights the contributions of Chinese teachers to educational transformation and argues that culture lies at the core of human capital. Education must remain rooted in local traditions while embracing a global outlook, so as to drive sustainable development and strengthen China‑Africa cooperation.
