4月30日，中国驻爱尔兰大使赵希源到访都柏林大学孔子学院，参加学院“国际中文日”系列活动，并与孔院学生亲切交流。
On 30 April, H.E. Zhao Xiyuan, Ambassador of China to Ireland, visited the UCD Confucius Institute to take part in the Institute’s International Chinese Language Day activities and to engage warmly with students.
活动中，赵希源大使与“汉语桥”获奖选手Sasha Odemena进行了交流，了解其学习中文的经历，并鼓励她继续提升中文水平，做中爱文化交流的青年使者。
During the visit, Ambassador Zhao met with Sasha Odemena, an award-winning participant in the Chinese Bridge competition. He learned about her experience of studying Chinese and encouraged her to continue improving her language skills and to serve as a young ambassador for cultural exchange between China and Ireland.
赵希源大使特别参与录制学院的《为你读诗》栏目，朗读爱尔兰诗歌作品。Sasha则朗诵了中文诗歌。中爱诗歌同台呈现，展现了两国文化交流的独特魅力，也传递了中爱友谊的温暖与美好。
Ambassador Zhao also took part in recording the Institute’s Poetry for You programme, where he read an Irish poem. Sasha, in turn, recited a Chinese poem. The presentation of Chinese and Irish poetry on the same stage highlighted the unique charm of cultural exchange and conveyed the warmth and friendship between the two countries.
访问期间，赵希源大使还与学院员工进行了交流，对学院在中文教学和文化推广方面所做的工作给予肯定。
During the visit, Ambassador Zhao also met with staff members of the Institute and commended their efforts in Chinese language teaching and cultural promotion.
此次活动为学院国际中文日系列活动增添了亮点，也进一步促进了中爱人文交流。
The visit added a special highlight to the Institute’s International Chinese Language Day celebrations and further promoted people-to-people and cultural ties between China and Ireland.
