2026年4月19日,由中国驻爱尔兰大使馆主办,都柏林大学孔子学院承办的第二十五届"汉语桥"世界大学生中文比赛爱尔兰赛区决赛在都柏林大学孔子学院成功举办。
On April 19, 2026, the Ireland final of the 25th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students was successfully held at the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland. The event was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Ireland and organized by the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland.
中国驻爱尔兰大使赵希源及大使夫人李奕、中国驻爱尔兰大使馆一等秘书郭彬女士、中国驻爱尔兰大使馆一等秘书朱喜坤女士、都柏林大学副校长Aoife Ahern教授、科克大学孔子学院中方院长申亮博士、都柏林大学孔子学院院长王艳玲女士、中方院长郑适教授,以及海南航空控股股份有限公司都柏林办事处总经理王雪征先生等出席了比赛。来自香农理工大学、梅努斯大学、科克大学、高威大学和都柏林大学的共16名选手参加了比赛。来自都柏林理工大学、高威大学、科克大学和都柏林大学的4名汉语专业教师承担了本次比赛的评委工作。比赛由都柏林大学校友Matthew Kelly主持,近百名学生和参赛选手的朋友及家人观看了当天的比赛。
Distinguished guests attending the event included H.E. ZHAO Xiyuan, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, and Madam LI Yi; Ms. GUO Bin, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland; Dr. ZHU Xikun, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland; Professor Aoife Ahern, Vice President of University College Dublin; Dr. SHEN Liang, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at University College Cork; Ms. WANG Yanling, Director of the UCD Confucius Institute; Professor ZHENG Shi, Chinese Director of the UCD Confucius Institute; and Mr. WANG Xuezheng, General Manager of the Hainan Airlines Dublin Office.
A total of 16 contestants from Technological University of the Shannon, Maynooth University, University College Cork, University of Galway, and University College Dublin participated in the competition. Four Chinese language teachers from Technological University Dublin, University of Galway, University College Cork, and University College Dublin served as judges.
The competition was hosted by Matthew Kelly, an alumnus of University College Dublin, and was attended by nearly 100 students, along with the contestants’ friends and family members.

等待比赛结果期间,Finn O'Driscoll 先生与现场观众分享了自己在中国学习与生活的经历,展现跨文化交流中的真实感受与成长。随后,现场举行了中国文化知识问答互动,气氛热烈,进一步激发了观众对中文及中华文化的兴趣。最后的幸运抽奖环节中,由海南航空控股股份有限公司都柏林办事处总经理王雪征先生现场颁发一张中爱往返经济舱机票,将活动气氛推向高潮。
while waiting for the results, Mr. Finn O’Driscoll shared his experiences of studying and living in China, highlighting his growth through cross-cultural exchange. A Chinese culture quiz then engaged the audience and boosted interest in Chinese culture. In the lucky draw, Mr. Wang Xuezheng, General Manager of the Dublin Office of Hainan Airlines, presented a China–Ireland round-trip economy ticket, bringing the event to a climax.
经过激烈角逐,来自香农理工大学、由都柏林大学孔子学院选送的Martha Leone(玛莎)荣获一等奖;来自科克大学的Diya Satheesh和都柏林大学的Khue Nguyen Minh(阮明奎)获得二等奖;来自梅努斯大学的Konrad Andrzej Kunowicz(康宇)、都柏林大学的Sasha Odemena(苏美莲)和科克大学的Daryna Khrystiuk(达莉娜)获得三等奖;来自梅努斯大学的Warren Turner(沃伦)与高威大学的Nguyet (Thi Thu) Ho(秋月)荣获最具潜力奖。同时,嘉宾为最佳组织奖:高威大学中医与再生医学孔子学院 及各孔院的优秀指导教师奖的获奖者颁奖并合影。
After intense competition, Martha Leone from the Technological University of the Shannon, nominated by the UCD Confucius Institute, won first prize. Diya Satheesh from University College Cork and Khue Nguyen Minh from University College Dublin won second prizes.
Konrad Andrzej Kunowicz from Maynooth University, Sasha Odemena from University College Dublin, and Daryna Khrystiuk from University College Cork received third prizes.
Warren Turner from Maynooth University and Nguyet Ho from the University of Galway were awarded the Most Promising Awards.
In addition, guests presented the Best Organising Institution Award to the Confucius Institute of Chinese and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Galway, as well as Outstanding Teacher Awards to instructors from the three Confucius Institutes, followed by group photos.
致辞环节,都柏林大学副校长Aoife Ahern教授祝贺获奖选手,称赞其精彩表现与多才多艺。她表示,中爱关系十分重要,作为爱中教育交流的重要桥梁,都柏林大学与中国合作渊源深厚,已在中国设立多个合作办学项目,并指出越来越多爱尔兰及国际学生希望赴华学习,体现中国语言文化的吸引力不断提升。
In the remarks segment, Professor Aoife Ahern, Vice President of University College Dublin, congratulated the winning contestants and praised their outstanding performances and diverse talents. She noted the importance of Ireland–China relations, highlighting UCD’s long-standing academic ties with China as a key bridge for educational exchange. She added that the university has established multiple collaborative programmes in China and observed a growing interest among Irish and international students in studying in China, reflecting the increasing appeal of Chinese language and culture.
中国驻爱尔兰大使赵希源高度赞赏选手们的优异表现,称大家展现了对中国语言文化的热爱与对世界的深刻理解。他表示,不同文明间的相互理解尤为重要,爱尔兰总理访华开启了中爱关系新阶段。青年学生是连接两国友谊的桥梁,今年恰逢中文成为联合国工作语言80周年,希望青年学子保持开放包容,为促进跨文化理解与友好合作贡献力量。
H.E. ZHAO Xiyuan, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, commended the contestants for their excellent performances, noting that they demonstrated both a strong appreciation of Chinese language and culture and a thoughtful understanding of the wider world. He emphasised the importance of mutual understanding between different civilisations, and welcomed the Irish Taoiseach’s recent visit to China, which he said marked a new phase in bilateral relations. He further highlighted that young people serve as vital bridges of friendship between the two countries. Marking the 80th anniversary of Chinese becoming one of the official languages of the United Nations, he encouraged students to remain open-minded and inclusive, and to contribute to greater intercultural understanding and friendly cooperation.
